Download

The Windows app is in the portal.

The app works for a workspace, so it is downloaded from inside one. Sign in, and the download is on the portal's front page. Its version and SHA-256 checksum are published here and by the portal, so you can check the file before you start it.

Check the file

After the download, compare its checksum with the one above. In PowerShell:

Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\GlacierPointLedger.exe

The portal shows the same checksum beside the download, and "Check for updates" at the foot of the app compares your copy with the one the portal offers. The app never downloads anything by itself: a new version opens in your browser.

Getting started

  1. Sign in to the portal and download the app. It is a single program; nothing else to install, and nothing is installed in your tenant.
  2. Start it on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer. It shows a one-time code.
  3. Enter the code in the portal to connect the app to your workspace. Only an owner or operator can approve it.
  4. In the app, press Run and sign in to Microsoft with your administrator account. The consent card names the read permissions; the run reads, seals and uploads.

What the app needs

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • An administrator account for the tenant. A run asks for read permissions only; the product has no write permission.
  • For the shared-mailbox check: the same administrator account, which the app uses for the Exchange Online read.
  • For scheduled runs (Watch, MSP): a computer that is on at the scheduled time, and the one-time setup that creates your organization's own app registration.
